When we think about Cain's life, we think of his murder of his brother Abel. When we think about his legacy...what do we think of? When we look at his legacy, we see God's compassion on him by putting a mark on his life for protection and also a man and lineage that excelled at cultivating society and human technical prowess, but we also see a legacy of godnessness, selfish ambition, and moral failure. This reminds us of our need for Christ, because God desires to restore the legacy of faith in our familiesm and heal our generations.
